The AC Milan management are at work to try and find the striker of the future and Kevin Denkey’s name has emerged as a target, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan hold an interest in Denkey who is having a great season in Belgium with Cercle Bruges. The Togolese striker is dragging his team into the fight for a European spot in the Jupiler Pro League.

Denkey has amassed 27 goals and two assists in 36 appearances in the Belgian league. At the moment Cercle Bruges are in 5th place in the play-offs for the title, one point from the play-off for the Conference League occupied by Genk.

The 23-year-old has been in Belgium since 2021 and has scored 47 goals in 114 matches between the league and cup competitions, but the explosion came this season.

The player came through the academy of Nimes in France and he has 7 goals in 28 appearances for the Togo national team, including five in his last five appearances.

Whether Milan see him as the starting striker for the future is not mentioned, but considering the links with profiles like Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee it does seem like Denkey would be more of a risk.
